Voter education is a key part of upholding democracy. In our city, many young people who are eligible to vote either don’t show up on election day or haven’t learned enough about each candidate to make an informed decision about their choice.
We are hosting a mayoral forum with the Harriet Tubman African American Democratic Club, the adult SF NAACP Branch, the SF BPWC, the SFPL African American Center, the Northern California Region of the NCNW, and more organizations to come, to give youth and other voters a chance to hear from top mayoral candidates in a Q&A-style forum, moderated by the youth.
Save the date! The event is located at the Koret Auditorium at the Main Library on September 29 at 3 PM, and it is free and open to the public! You can register to attend in-person through the QR code below or visit https://events.humanitix.com/sf-mayoral-forum. The event will also be live-streamed on our YouTube channel. https://youtube.com/live/44vDDKdsgSk?feature=share
